Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. On "Repeat Offender", Richard Marx follows the function and form of his successful debut, this time placing 6 songs on radio's top 40, his key audience as this is pop music through-and-through. He's still a pretty good songwriter, especially with the ballads like "angelia" and "right here waiting".
