Nothing new or progressive here , it’s The Hold Steady with Craig Finns craggy vocals coming at you hard and fast with tales about interesting characters and pointed social observations . And can you believe he’s still singing about Hornets in 2019 , what’s that all about?
Having said that this album is still better than most of the garbage that comes out and well worth your time

Feels very much like Craig Finn's solo stuff, if it had the veneer of The Hold Steady. Anyway, I dig it.
