Love this band - great lyrics, great sound, great sense of what it means to be a band, consistent quality output over almost 20 years. And then, one can always fill in the gaps between albums with Craig Finn's solo albums. It a good all round deal!!
The Hold Steady is what you'd get if Thin Lizzy had Randy Newman were their front man. But that is just the sound. The lyrics are different. And Awesome.

i agree with Happymeal, "Boys and Girls" should be higher on the charts.
Don't see why these guys aren't rated higher. They are pretty awesome. I won't say they are the best musically, but they aren't as bad as an average of 67.
