Eugh... you hear that? that's the sound of the SAW machine in sharp decline. This record is coated in an uninvolving new jack swing production and worst of all they couldn't even come up with a hit.
The downfall of SAW and the "Kylie Machine" to go with it. Not only was "Let's Get To It" commercially unsuccessful in comparison to Kylie's 3 previous records, it's just not a good album by any stretch of the imagination. It's not like the first three records were musical masterpieces, but at least they had catchy songs throughout each of them. On this one, the tunes seem to have been smothered out by 3rd rate, overbaked production. "Word Is Out" is pretty good, but other than that there's not much else to recommend... disappointing.
