Here on B&S’s 10th album ( !!! good lord where has that time gone ) we get 13 tracks that serve as the soundtrack to the movie of the same name which stars Earl Cave son of Nick
11 tracks are new with 2 reimagining’s most notably being the classic “Get Me Away From Here I’m Dying “
I must admit this album was a real grower for me as most B&S albums tend to be taking time and patience to fully reveal it’s true beauty with the band returning to its roots following a string of recent electronic/ dance projects
I read the most wonderful quote which perfectly captures this album:
“I sounds like Belle and Sebastian impersonating Belle and Sebastian “
And that’s the best compliment one could give this album
