Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Turtleneck & Chain is a bit bloated and some of the songs are one note jokes. That being said when the album is good, it fires on all cylinders. "Motherlover" in particular works wonderfully both as a pop song and a comedy song.

At the height of its powers, this was one of my favorite albums, always in heavy rotation. Still funny.

Fewer hits than "Incredibad", but the weaker tracks aren't as bad.
