Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.0/100, a mean average of 68.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.8.

Interesting album, at the start some great tracks.
Enough variation to make it interesting. I like the song arrangements and the general vibe. Good record.
This album is a very pleasant surprise for me early in 2020. I didn't expect much from it, but what I discovered is a really well-balanced album, with a few really great songs and no real low point in it.
I can't explain very well why I like this album, but the fact is I do. I think all the elements are really well-dosed, the real musicianship, the guitars, the drums, the electro-synth, we have a little bit of everything here, but all in good taste. Never too much, always on point. I like that, and I think this is something rare in this day and age, where music tends to always be a little bit over the top. Here, I think it's the subtleties that really pay off, and thanks to a great production, you can hear them very well. Pay attention to the details, because this album is really full of delicacy and craftmanship , and it works. At least, it works for me.
Great album, my favorite from Bombay Bicycle Club.
Also, I must add that the first song "Get Up" is simply amazing, it's one of the few songs I rated at 100 on this website. It really is a great song, the build up is so effective and the bass line is incredibly tasty.
Inoffensive offering from Bombay Bicycle Club, staying true to their sound with pleasant indie pop rock. Loses me at parts with repetitive lyrics and songs that drag on just a little too long. Some bright moments, but hard to pick many individual songs that speak to me, as most of them blend together in the end.
Favorite track: Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)
