A nice sounding album to play in the background for some nice indie-pop, but upon deeper listening the lyrics are pretty weak and the songs don't really go anywhere. A big step down from their earlier work.
Real Estate know how to push my buttons. Just my kind of laid back indie-pop.
Smooth, lush, and easy listening. Happy to hear a change in style for these guys (even if ever so slightly). Certain moments break through the fog throughout the album, notably the proggy guitars. Sometimes I even feel its reminiscent of The Durutti Column (Also A But).
Favorite tracks: Paper Cup, The Main Thing, Friday, Silent World
