From Preston in northern Melbourne I present RVG or AKA Romy Vager Group who pick up where The Go-Betweens left off and follow in the very large footprints of fellow Melbourne female lead band Cash Savage And The Last Drinks and takes the musical inspiration to somewhere new and wonderful
This second long player from RVG is such a joy across its 10 tracks and neat 36 minutes with tongue firmly planted in cheek on tracks such as “Christian Neurosurgeon”, “Little Sharkie & the White Pointer” and “The Baby & the Bottle”. Just goes to show you don’t necessarily need a huge budget to make a great album, all you sometimes need is passion , a few great ideas and a pinch of X-Factor
Only beaten out by Midnight Oil for Australian album of 2020
