The female lead singer of Squirrel Nut Zippers' fame builds her own band and debuts this album of sultry jazz standards in 1999. Distributed on Mammoth Records (Cat#
Mammoth Records – 354 980 201-2) and featuring Whalen's take on "Now or Never" "Badisma" "My Baby Just Cares For Me" and others on a swinging effort not too far removed from the vibe one would get from an album by her other band.
