Brilliant. This is the sort of album that you listen to at night and it will give you kooky visions. Lovely musicallity, smooth flow to the album. Having said this, it could be boring if listened to in the wrong context and the singer's voice takes a bit of getting used to.

It took me on a beautiful and ethereal journey through the mountains of Iceland, across valleys, and to the tops of waterfalls. Few albums compare with the simplistic beauty of this album. Every track is incredible. This album develops a brilliant atmosphere. I don't think I'll revisit it often. Instead, I'll save it for the night drives through the rocky mountains, or the long flights over the ocean. This album is beautiful in any setting, but when it compliments the physical atmosphere, there is simply nothing more gorgeously hypnotic.

A majestic album put out by Sigur Rós. Even though I don't understand what they are saying, the vocals and instrumentation make this album so great.

This album was truly a 'wow' moment for me. I hadn't heard anything like it before. It was sublimely ethereal and atmospheric like no other album I'd heard. There must be something in the Icelandic air. It's as if the elder spirits are projecting themselves through music as the only universal language that can reach out to us (let's face it, maths hardly reaches out to us like music, right?). The way the album can lift you from quiet reflection to a rapturous euphoria in the space of one song's building crescendo is astonishing.
