Coming For Your Soul (studio album)

I wasn't familiar with this album, so I approached with a considerable dose of restraint, but it was a pleasant surprise. It's themes are violent, sexual, enigmatic, alarmingly suicidal, so it's not what you'd call an "easy" listen. On the contrary, it's quite a ride. For a low budget tape, it is reasonably well produced, nothing to complain about in this aspect, I have definitely listened to less clean stuff. Its unpredictability captivates you, it has this hypnotic effect in the most uncomfortable manner. The delivery also contributes at making you feel uneasy, it is loud and aggressive, it is like he emphasizes every syllable. Female vocals are another nice touch, especially in Having Dreams they are so dreamy (sorry for the awful pun). If I had to pick my favorite track, it would be -apart from the above mentioned- Hell has arisen. On the other hand, the one track I can't stand is Blah, I view this as a failed attempt at a humorous track, not to mention it doesn't fit into the general theme of the album and acts distracting. Commercial is clearly a more successful try, shorter and more effective.
