"Spare Ribs" is minimalist class critique. Lyricism is primarily concerned with the failures of the upper class and the entrapped lower class. The first hand personal aspects add a layer of emotional effectiveness. Especially on "Mork N Mindy", you are given a vivid but crude first hand glimpse to suburban decay. The vocals at their best are grimey and driven, but often times have rusty flow and lack effective melody. The instrumentals are bare bones, using only one synth or bassline for the most part. It provides a directness to the themes, but at the cost of memorability. The B side contains more layered beats that raise the quality up. "Spare Ribs" has good ideas but needs more meat to truly succeed.

This is just demos? Recorded in pandemic lockdown with the band members separated? It's almost all just Jason rapping over very sparse drum machine arrangements with only occasional bass and guitar and backing vocalist. While the lyrics are somewhat interesting, the very simple arrangements get quite tiresome.

Some of the instrumentation is great with great bass lines. The vocals and lyrics however, are less than desirable
