I really want to like Sleaford, least of all for the determined crusade against modern British politics. But rather than being the crafted, shout-along anthemic styles of their classic punk influences, it ends up being overly blunt and irritating. It's too state-the-bleeding-obvious, rather than offering a solution. There's no unity in the music, no sense that listening to them is rebellion.
A meritable abrasiveness, but it lacks any reason to actually listen to it.
