Consistiency's overrated. When Kimbra's on and focused are absolutely glorious, especially an unbridled show-stopper like Cameo Lover, the jittery 90s-rnb-style sizzle of Settle Down, a surprsingly terrific Nina Simone cover or the sublime, slinky groove of Good Intent, are all marvelous. A few forgettable tracks, especially near the end, but greatly outweighed by the album's many incandescent highs.

Found in a regular day at the mall
This girl has a lot of potential. A few weak tracks here, but they're easily off-set by the highpoints like "Settle Down", "Cameo Lover", "Plain Gold Ring", "Somebody Please" and especially "Good Intent". Maybe not quite a cohesive album but if she let's her darker side roam free for the next work it could be stunning. It's also preferable to get the original Vows, as the US release adds some sappy tunes and they throw off the album's momentum to a certain degree
