Perhaps classifying jazzman Powell as a guitarist is a misnomer, as he is actually a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, keyboards, classical and electric guitar and other instruments on this 1996 release on Discovery Records (Cat # 77037). His groove is solid and he brings in an excellent supporting cast to beef up his own prowess. The emotional core of the album is "You Won't Be Alone" dedicated to the memory of a departed relative.
