(A very pretty and shimmering blend of dream pop and sophista-pop with a little bit of psych pop thrown in for good measure.)
I can't tell how much of my enjoyment of this album is based off how good and well-arranged and melodious the music is or if its just because the band/duo knows what sugary sweet buttons to push to make me ignore everything else and bob my head with airy thougvhts. Maybe those 2 elements aren't mutually exclusive. Maybe the brilliance of these more catchy pop gold tunes is that they are, at their core, quite stupid lowest common denominator pop, but done so sweetly I just don't care? Hard to say. But I will say the stately guitar tones and strums and the dreamy synth parts and the unremarkable and borderline boring vocals singing these simple melodies and these drum machine grooves and these swelling synths and choruses all add up to a nice and very enjoyable 31 pop album. Perfect for a nice springtime walk in your nearest park.
Some standout tracks are "Once Good", "The House That We Built, "Seconds" and "Disappear".
If you like shimmering, mildly corny but mostly just pristine dreamy sophisti-pop I think you may like this one. Not much else I want to say.

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
