The first recording sessions with Peggy Lee as the vocalist for Benny Goodman's ensemble, as she replaced Helen Forrest were not smooth. It took a while for the young midwestern farm girl to find herself. Watch/listen to the progression of the first 4 months of her career with the band in these 16 songs spanning nearly the last half of 1941. Released on Columbia/Legacy in 1993 there is tremendous growth in confidence and technique over this historic sessions. (Cat #: CK 53422) Authenticated on discogs.com.
