The Global Underground series has been going on for years. Back in 1999 Paul Oakenfold contributed only the second release in the series when he played New York. Thrive Records distributed this double album of all night throbbing beats before anyone could gather the idea that the novelty might wear off at some point in the future. The music is thumping and maybe your head might, too, after listening to this un-interrupted. (Cat#: 90508-2) mercifully comes to a conclusion - yet the Global Underground series continues to this day.
