Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.0/100, a mean average of 67.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.5.

“Van Gogh's Left Ear” feels like a series of tangential thoughts. ZelooperZ has this flow that feels like the words are just falling out of his mouth. He maintains it throughout most of the album and it is surprisingly endearing. The flow enhances a lot of the lyrics of the album. Outrageous lines such as “Tupac without the rape” are said so casually that it can’t help but deliver. Despite the artist’s natural charm, there are overload of tracks. The middle of the album becomes bloated with filler track after filler track. They all have beats that repeat without any evolution. The nearest thing to a stand out track is “Bash Bandicoon”. Danny brown is a fantastic feature and a great pairing with Z’s strange style. The beat is somewhere between brilliant by sampling the crash theme song and awful by letting the xylophone run for far too long. A more concise album would allow Zelooper Z to paint real picture of his talent.

Bouncy and erratic but controlled flow over beats ranging from traditional trap to off-kilter internet noise. The abrasiveness can get a little grating.

Peeters out towards the end, but it's still ZelooperZ's best overall project yet.
