Ho sempre preferito i dischi dei Fall dei primi anni novanta rispetto a quelli di dieci anni prima: hanno una scrittura più matura ed un suono più sciolto. Tipo in questo "Shiftwork"
After seeing this reviewed in the NME at the time with a 10/10 rating, this became the first new Fall album I ever heard, and I quite liked it.
It was only in the following years when I bought the likes of Perverted By Language , Hex and This Nation's Saving Grace that Shift Work seemed a little drab in comparison.
Edinburgh Man, The Mixer and A Lot Of Wind still sound great though.
