A great rendition of Beethoven's symphony cycle and apparently one of the most faithful to Beethoven's original markings (including 2 alternate versions of the finale of the 9th Symphony due to Beethoven indicating a pause at one point and then changing his mind in a later manuscript).
Although maybe less faithful to Beethoven's original intent, I prefer certain other versions of the symphonies, particularly those by Herbert von Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic. I think the faithfulness works better on the middle symphonies, but a little more flexibility is warranted on the earlier symphonies (1-2 written during Beethoven's early phase) as well as no. 9 (written closer to his death).
