(Cool mix of atmospheric black metal and grimy lofi Death metal with a series of sweeping orchestral pieces tying the epic 7-10 minute songs together. If you like that sort of thing, this is recommended.)
Overall the formula here is simple: you have a big sweeping orchestral sounding ambient/moody piece of instrumental music followed by a dingy dirty nasty lofi epic of 7-10 minutes, with growled DM vocals and these passionate and intense drumming parts and these epics BM riffs and sometimes interesting guitar sounds coming through the haze to create a cool atmosphere. Then usually these long songs will have a neat switch up, and it will get quite beautiful and almost proggy, then it will get intense Black/Death metal again and then end and then another "Limbo" track will come in with a similar sounding big orchestral symphonic or whatever instrumental and then another banger of a DM/BM hybrid will come and do something similar. The album's structure is cool, and the music is cool. It does, however get predictable and redubdant and there aren't any songs here that differentiate themselves majorly or really hit some high ceiling of overwhelming brilliance.
Its a good album and I am glad I heard it. Nothing overwhelmingly amazing to my ears but a damn fine little extreme metal record with a cool and frightening cover.
