Well , well who’d have thunk it ? Contrary to my expectations going into this fifth Wombats release I was pleasantly surprised to find Mathew Murphy has lost none of his bite in giving us more of his self deprecating hedonistic world of drugs, sex and general looser-ville existence and put simply I love it !
Word to the wise - its definitely a grower album who’s brilliance won’t be immediately apparent on first or even second dive but patience will be rewarded
I was very impressed with the latest release from The Wombats, one of my new favorite post-2000s bands. Even though this was my introduction to them, tracks like "This Car Drives All By Itself" are just gems in a rough.
