Nothing short of bombastic, ‘The War to End All Wars’ is powerful, epic in scope and operatic. A real force to be reckoned with.
In my opinion at the moment (End 2022) their best album so far. Really great as an consistent album, you can listen and enjoy it from beginning to end, the theme and story of WW1 is told by some remarkable moments. Every song sounds like Sabaton (yes its a Sabaton record ...) but is always different enough from the rest.
Stormtroopers gives some good old school vibes with the choir passage reminding me to Accepts - Balls to the Wall. Dreadnought delivers some of Sabatons finest guitarparts so far.
The unkillable Soldier then completely changes the rhythmic dynamic that was set so far.
And so on ... there is a consistency but also a unique touch in every song.
For me the best Metal/Rock album in 2022 ... sorry to Arch Enemy, Megadeath, Rammstein, Clutch ... or Ghost
