Divided into "It's Real Hard" and It's Real Soft" sides, this 1989 release by vocalist James Ingram, finds the singer working with a bevy of different production teams, in a variety of contexts from New Jack Swing impressario Teddy Riley, to Gerald Levert, to Philadelphia's Thom Bell and including a re-working of a Soul classic by Aretha Franklin. Found on Warner Brothers label (Cat#: 9 25924-4) the 11 tracks included here give Ingram ample opportunity to stretch out in several different directions, all delivered with Ingram's usual panache. Authenticated on discogs.com
