“Rough Dimension “sees them dwell in their trademark dour post-punk. The interplay between the guitars and keyboard is fantastic. Each instrument feels like a puzzle piece made for the other. The melodies are sung in this off-kilter but strangely charismatic matter. It creates a feeling mixing leering, pity, and disgust. Unfortunately, the lyrics are not as sharp. Lyrics paint vague images of excess and decline but lack the slicing directness and dark humor of previous works. A solid effort with room to grow.
