Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 65.3/100, a mean average of 64.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 64.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.1.

I really wanted to like this. The flows, the lyricism and the beats are all there, it's just not clicking for me...
Maybe it's not that good

Solid debut, but it seems like he's trying to hard. The closing track sounds like the only time he's really being honest. But then, he also sounds like he's just having fun the whole way through.

The Eminem influence is obvious from the start and perhaps too pervasive, but it's refreshing to hear MM's style without the inflammatory immaturity. Good stuff.

The beats on this album are incredibly well done and the lyrics are witty and clever. This is everything rap can be.

I never got some of the lower ratings for this album, sur eit's nothing out of the ordinary, but it isn't as bad as people claim it is. Not sure why this album was decided to be choosen for the over - hate.

A solid rap album that is charming, filled with influence, yet nuanced enough to stand on as a great debut from a truly talented rapper.
