Ten years has passed since The Silos (New York City, 1985) released their last album, Florizona, in 2011. The Silos is basically a collaborative project controlled Walter Salas-Humara, ever since the departmenture of Bob Rupe in the early 90s. Salas-Humara has continued to release music and artwork, but this is the first Silos album in a decade.
Family doesn't stray from the familiar for The Silos. My Favorite Animal is a loose rocker, but nothing immediately stands out like on Cuba or their self-titled album. It's roots rock, with Salas-Humara's own sparkle, which is enough in itself for the listener to come back every time.
