“Hypnos” is soft and pillowish. Lenae gasps about intimacy and rejection with a calming effeminacy. The opening tracks “Cameo” and “Venom” are its strongest examples. The weakness of the album is the lack of variety. All of the songs have the same airy vocals, spacey production, and tone. Without variation, the strengths of the albums become expected and mediocre
