The best of China Crisis output, closely followed by 'Flaunt the Imperfection'. China Crisis had quite a unique sound which was no doubt a result of mixing trumpets and saxaphones into their electric sound. They also used quite a clean guitar sound which married with the punchy electric drums and carefully chosen synth patches, which seem to lean more towards percussive sounds than strings. 'Wishful Thinking' and 'Tragedy and Mystery' are personal favourites. (Edited)
If I ever get round to making that chart of great 80’s albums that deserve more love this one is definitely going in the top 10!
