“Florist” is a quiet, genuine piece. The lyrics speak of emotional intimacy with loving little details. The tracks are separated by cute instrumentals with ambient noise. These really add to the atmosphere and create a close rainy feeling. While this ambience is pleasant, it never moves beyond that. A sweet album but not much more.
Reminds me a lot of Phoebe Bridgers in parts. Fantastically comforting and soothing indie folk style.
… Nice. Just nice. I’ve heard so many bands that sound like this and it’s just not clicking with me. Early reviews seem strong, though, but I’m just not on board. I’ve heard so many bands that sound just like this. Not hearing anything new.
