A comfort blanket of melancholic and really well crafted country tracks. “King Of Oklahoma” stands out with its reflective and hopeless lyrics making for a real sombre mood. This is then followed up by the equally sombre sounding “Strawberry Woman”. The mood is then lightened with the Karaoke chorus that is “Save The World '' before the return of the melancholy with the utterly gorgeous tracks “If You Insist” and “Cast Iron Skillet”. Isbell and Co. then top the album off with one of the best country tracks I have heard in a while with “Miles”. Isbell's vocals are fantastic throughout and the instrumentation is beautifully melancholic, yet calming. Really good country album.

A stunningly good emo/pop/punk hybrid that centres around anti-capitalist ideas and extreme cynicism in the lyrics.
