Great album. I used to listen to it while playing Techmo Bowl and I had a sick Mullet goin on.

I'm not qualified to judge 80s "pop-metal," but this seems generic even for that genre...
WINGS OF TOMORROW is a decent debut for Europe and certainly a better than average Pop-Metal album. The main point of interest for me was John Norum's guitar playing, which elevated the performances above many of their Hair Metal contemporaries. "Scream Of Anger" is the highlight for me and the most aggressive track on the album. The instrumental "Aphasia" is also interesting if you're a guitarist like myself.
Europe peaked commercially with The Final Countdown. But in their fans eyes, they peaked musically with Wings Of Tomorrow. Great rock album with wonderful tunes and toned down keyboards. The first side is great. Particular favs are Stormwind, Scream Of Anger, Open Your Heart and Wings Of Tomorrow.
