A solid rock album, I was expecting a one-hit wonder with the title track and it is the best track on the album but the others are decent too. (Edited)

For a very short period of my early teens The Final Countdown was my favourite song. Of course, it didn’t take me long to realise that its saccharine catchiness was about as enduring as big hair in front of a blowtorch. (Edited)

A great surprise to hear this album from start to finish, a true trip of the 80's with great music! Looking at most of the ratings for this album on this site, I think people just rate "The Final Countdown" song, but believe this album is one of the best pop / metal 80s! (Edited)

I've always thought that when someone (the longer-than-life critics establishment, fans, etc) review and album, the review actually should be written in the context to the album, the band and the music genre.
I would never review a hip hop album because I do not like hip hop at all. Well, that's the case with many underrated/overlooked albums: They were "reviewed" by the wrong people.
In this case Europe's 'The Final Countdown' is probably among the top 10 most amazing albums of the hard rock scene of the 80s. Of course there's 'Hysteria', '1984', 'Slippery When Wet' and 'New Jersey', 'Appetite for Destruction', etc
From start to finish this album is flawless: impeccable songwriting, about the finest guitar solos found at the time, a very unique voice and keyboards works that were a key part of the band sound, etc. The first 3 songs were huge international hits, but after that the album doesn't disappoint. The stage favourites 'Danger on The Track' and 'Ninja', really deliver the goods, 'Cherokee' was another hit, 'Time has Come' is a fantastic number, 'On The Loose' is the heaviest cut on the album, and 'Love Chaser' is a majestic album ending.
If you really like to give a listen without any prejudice, this album will give you a good times rock.
