Lord of the Highway is the sixth studio album by Texas singer-songwriter Joe Ely. With a new band and a new label, Ely continues to deliver. The production is a little flat, and My Baby Thinks She's French and Everybody Got Hammered are a little silly, but there are some great songs here. Butch Hancock loans three songs, including the title track. All rock here. Good stuff!

Recommended.

A-Side: Me and Billy the Kid
B-Side: Silver City
