Love this album.
I was a fan of the Icicle Works (IW) and approached Ian's solo work with a little trepidation. as I do with most artists who were part of bands I loved who go solo. I should not have worried with this.
Hints of the IW but far rockier with great guitar work. Having Crazy Horse as his backing band on a few of the tracks was a stroke of genius. You can feel the spirit of Neil Young flowing through these tracks.

On this album Ian McNabb sometimes sound too much like a preacher (see the long ending track May You Always) but the three opening tracks of which the first two also featuring Crazy Horse (yes thé Crazy Horse) are so good that they make up for that in a great way. The guitars really shine and the songs are really good.
