It's not that good, partly because Don isn't a great singer, but it's not that bad either. Don is helped a lot by having halfway decent songs - definitely not worse than standard pop stuff you might find on other albums at the time - and the only covers are "Lost in Your Eyes" by Tom Petty before he formed The Heartbreakers, and the unreleased Bob Seger track "Star Tonight". Also helping Don (along with the producers/engineers) are appearances from names such as Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lenny Pickett, Dweezil Zappa, Ron Wood, and others. All the songs are pretty lengthy too, with only 2 of them being under 4 minutes. The reissue of this album includes a bonus track written by Jeff Daniels(!) - yes, that Jeff Daniels. Overall, it's mediocre, I guess. (Edited)

I made a lot more mistakes in the 80s than buying this album ... Don Johnson found some great musicians to create a interesting album. (Edited)
