This is a great underrated album, how is it ranked so low?

The first time I saw Trampled by Turtles, I wrote them off as a crappy jam-grass band. I had paid them no mind in the intervening year until I listened to Stars and Satellites. I have to say, this is a damn fine album. It's entirely possible that they are trust-fund hippies, and that their live shows still descend into aimless noodling, but I cannot deny the quality of this recording.

These guys are good. Very good. If you’ve ever heard of/really like The Avett Brothers, you’ll love these guys. A great mix of bluegrass and indie folk, Trampled By Turtles have the bluegrass chops to play with just about any bluegrass band, but don’t restrict themselves to bluegrass only. Very very similar to The Avett Brothers except a bit more bluegrassey and minus the strong southern accents (these guys are from Duluth, Minnesota, hometown of Bob Dylan). Perhaps it’s better to say that these guys sound like somewhere between The Avett Brothers and Alison Krauss & Union Station. I promise you, these guys are totally worth listening to, especially if you’re a fan of either The Avett Brothers or Alison Krauss.
