Best song(s): Mama Nature Said; Slow Blues; The Rocker; Vagabonds of the Western World; Little Girl in Blood; Whiskey In The Jar (on the '91 rerelease)
Keeping up with the inconsistency of the Eric Bell era, this album seems to have a lot of great ideas, yet not all of them were fleshed out. However, it's a major step up from the likes of their debut, and the tracks "The Rocker", the title track, and, particularly, "Mama Nature Said", are fantastic.
I really love this album. It shows that Thin Lizzy was a really good blues band before they started writing pop songs. "The Hero and the Madman is a really exciting song".

A couple good hits but the rest is filler. Make sure to get the expanded re-release that includes Whiskey in the Jar.
