Keeping up with the inconsistency of the Eric Bell era, this album seems to have a lot of great ideas, yet not all of them were fleshed out. However, it's a major step up from the likes of their debut, and the tracks "The Rocker", the title track, and, particularly, "Mama Nature Said", are fantastic. (Edited)
I really love this album. It shows that Thin Lizzy was a really good blues band before they started writing pop songs. "The Hero and the Madman is a really exciting song". (Edited)
