Such a smooth and authentic band. Phil Lynott was an amazing lyricist and his voice is also very touching and beautiful. Plus, a little guitar power never hurt!

Maybe the greatest rock band ever. At least top 3 easily for me. Adore them. Phil Lynott is one of my musical heroes.

Not really the stereotypical 'Irish' sound. Goes to show that most national music scenes are much more varied than the cliche. Anyway, one of the bands I'd love to see live if I could go back in time.

One of the best bands of the 70s. Their discography goes much deeper than Jailbreak.

SUCH an underrated band. I love the guitar work of this band soooo much. RIP Phil Lynott.
My feeling are the same as andy hunter. Why don't LIzzy feature much higher in this chart. You'd think that more BEA members would appreciate what a fabulous band they were. C'est la vie but you're missing out on a brilliant band.

I'm surprised at how low down Thin Lizzy are on the overall band rankings. You'd think their influence on newer bands like, Belle & Sebastian and The Strokes would have them higher up. Evidently not.
