I was drawn to this album because I was doing some random wikipedia-ing and came across it after reading about Tim's son. I really wanted to know what "sex funk" sounded like. This is a lot tamer than I expected. Multiple songs are not his and few give off any funk vibe at all. I know that covering songs was common practice back then but of the four covers, "Dolphins" is the only one that I liked. There are some flashes of greatness in the two songs from which the album gets its name, especially in the latter half. However, I don't understand why he had to say the N-word. Different times, I guess, but still uncalled for and out of place.
