Tracks 2-4, 9 ???
Agree with most of the comments already posted. A hard list but less so than when I first got the album all those years ago although codex is still a very challenging experience
The first 4 tracks are great (especially Navvy and Caligari's Mirror), the rest is looser and not as convincing.

I want to like music that pushes boundaries, and at times I did enjoy this. But by the end, I was falling asleep.
This album is difficult. Not an easily assessable band this record carries on in the same vein as The Modern Dance. You have to give it several listens to reap the rewards and it's worth it.

The second Pere Ubu album released in 1978, Dub Housing is a more realized vision than its The Modern Dance, yet it remains overshadowed here.

Dark and difficult album, but Pere Ubu are at their best.
