Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.2/100, a mean average of 72.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.9.

For me, the two standout tracks are "Blue Collar" and the thumpingly good opening track "Gimme Your Money Please".
Great tracks also, are "Don't Get Yourself In Trouble" and "Hold Back The Water".
My next picks would then be "Stayed Awake All Night" and "Down and Out Man".
Nothing really wrong with the tracks "Thank You For The Feelin'" an upbeat enjoyable track, or "Little Gandy Dancer" which is fairly basic but a fun and danceable party track
This double-barreled debut from BTO isn't really a debut - these giant lumberjacks were making noise as Brave Belt briefly before rebranding as BTO, and shifting gears to a more driving, harder rock sound.
There are some solid songs here, and some forgettable ones. It's front-loaded, with the highlight being Blue Collar; a jazz-inspired ode to the late-night lifestyle that musicians live, which features an epic extended jam where Randy Bachman races around the fretboard.
Not exactly earth-shattering, but definitely rockin', B.T.O.'s first release is a stomp in the right direction.
