Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 22% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 76.7/100, a mean average of 77.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.3/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 12.0.

Shows that the real talent in the Guess Who was Randy Bachman, not Burton Cummings.
One great song in you Ain't Seen Nothing yet. A few more good songs but most average at best.
Bachman Turner Overdrive formed around Canadian Randy Bachman (ex. Guess Who) in 1972. The band became the favourites of North America’s ‘blue collar’ workers, particularly the trucking fraternity as their songs often reflected the ‘life on the open road’. Their music was very much standard guitar led rock, nothing out of the ordinary but well executed. BTO were largely ignored by the critics but they found a niche and filled it admirably. Further damage to BTO’s credibility was caused when their most popular track, You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet was the subject of parody within the UK thanks to Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse as aging DJ’s Smashy and Nicey
Good, muscular, empowering Classis Rock!
