Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.4/100, a mean average of 68.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.9.

From the time when the new romantics started to emerge and change the music scene from punk to techno and disco flavored tunes. Quite nice

I like it for Empire State Human, which is one of my favorite songs about youthful ambition.

A little bit dull, but certainly very interesting. The songs could be a bit better, but it's an intriguing listen from the band who, with a slight line up change, would become a huge act a few years down the line.

As shocking a cover version of any song you could think of.

OK you can listen it but it's nothing interesting. It's just for the once :(

Very arty here but could do with some more tunes, good nonetheless.

Sadly, not many people know that before they were a great pop band they were a great experimental band.

The finest version of 'you've lost that loving feeling' dare I suggest.
