Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.1/100, a mean average of 69.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.7.

Good album with some really enjoyable moments.

The title track really rocks.

"To Get Back In" is solid and has a cool outro with some great guitar work.

"Locomotion" is a fun song and their version of it is pretty adequate.

I love the somberness of "Carry me Through" and it is a very unique song overall.

"Please Me" is a bit clumsy but the chorus is catchy and well executed.

"Pretty Boy" is a bit weak but grows on you after some time and the mellotron is a nice touch and as far as I am aware is the only GFR song with a mellotron.

"Gettin' over You" is also a bit clumsy but also enjoyable. It reminds of the song "Life" that they would make in the next album.

"Little Johnny" is a pretty good song, definitely a highlight of the album and a great closer.

The production of the album is not the best, it sounds like the American Band album but worse, like if the sound had deteriorated, but it is acceptable nonetheless.
