Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 16% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.3/100, a mean average of 73.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.8.

This being the Australasian only debut from them. Still finding there feet and definitely the runt of all Bon Scott albums. Everything after this with Bon singing is epic hence why this forever sits at the bottom of the pile

Good first attempt, but only half of the album is what I would call "great." Also, this album is missing both Phil Rudd and Mark Evans, so it isn't quite ACDC yet...

Soul Stripper is one of the very few times where Malcolm does some soloing, and, damn, the interplay between the Young brothers on that track is fine.

Interesting for the curiosity of their original release in their own homeland, but the US version is the better album. This one has a good cover of Baby, Please Don't Go but otherwise not needed.

I don´t think this is AC/DC, not for the vocalist or something like that, this one is wick, not well written and contribuyed, and the first time I listened to a Love Song, even is not good

Best song: She´s Got the Balls
Worst song: Love Song

EDIT: The comment from 3/31/2010 relates to when this listing was the US release, which is really a compilation of the Australian albums High Voltage and T.N.T. Have not heard this release.

This is classic AC/DC .
Crazy solos and headbanging rhythms, Angus Young consistently comes up with powerful, imaginative riffs. Bon Scott's gin soak vocals add to this straight foreword rocker. Loads of fun.

If for some sad reason you can only own one AC/DC album, this is the one you should have. Nothing holds it back and everything keeps it going. If you can listen to Can I Sit Next to You Girl without picking up your air guitar you must be dead.
