Very typical Rudy Van Gelder recording with the piano somewhat muffled and the bass sounding like it's in another room entirely, the drums and sax pushed up and sounding great. The playing is wonderful, and while I do wish I could properly hear Ron Carter's bass, this is an album I listen to a lot.
