Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 81.1/100, a mean average of 80.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.2.

Genial.
The most impressive albums are those that say something different to you every time you hear them. This album has such strength and yet there's some lightness. It is full of color and complex textures but gives the impression of simplicity as if every sound was naturally there from the beginning. I remember hearing it for the first time; I was overwhelmed by the number of details put in every song. Nowadays, I feel at peace when I hear it: every single piece fits. I've also jumped around from favorite songs to favorite songs. I guess that if you had only 20 minutes to approach the album "Tabú", "Bocanada", "Río Babel" and "Paseo Inmoral" will give you the idea of the whole album.
I don't know if 4 year old me would have loved this album. But what is certain, present me is loving the hell out of this album. Need to cop this album as well. A well mix of rock and electronics and Gustavo's beautiful voice. Wish, I got to this sooner. Oh well.
